Shannon is currently the managing partner and CEO of Lighthouse Financial and the Owner of YOUnify Consulting.
Shannon began her career in the 1990s as an account executive for AT&T. She quickly obtained AT&T ‘s top national sales awards three years in a row as a Presidents Circle Awardee. Upon her early success, Shannon completed her MBA while working full time and was quickly recruited from her top industry competitor to become a National Account Manager for Verizon in the early 2000. She again quickly achieved top sales recognition both achieving regional and national awards four years in a row before being recruited by her top client at the time, American Express, to lead a Merger and Acquisition team for their Enterprise Business division. Upon the completion of this enterprise launch at Amex, Verizon recruited Shannon back and promoted her to become the only female emerging technology sales and development national team leader in the country. As an Enterprise Data Sales Manager, Shannon managed a national sales team dedicated to developing and selling emerging wireless technologies for Fortune 500 companies who were prioritized clients for Verizon Wireless.
Upon her success as and EDSM, she was again promoted at Verizon two years later to become Verizon’s youngest Vice President of the Western Region. Under this role, Shannon managed 300+ employees, 13 states and $12B of annual enterprise revenue. Her region was responsible for accounts such as Amazon, Harry & David and Expedia to name a few. She was also selected as a Top 25 Emerging Leader within Verizon’s Executive team to be individually groomed and mentored by the Verizon C-Suite Executive Team, which leads the 9th largest company in the US with over 80,000 employees.
Although her career in corporate America was promising and hopeful, Shannon always had a desire to start her own business in the Enterprise space. So in 2010, Shannon decided to leave her Vice President role to start her own consulting firm called YOUnify Consulting with her husband, Justin. YOUnify focuses on equipping privately held companies to expanding their revenue streams, create evolved employee recruitment tools and implement tax mitigation solutions. In 2019, Shannon added to her ownership position by purchasing Lighthouse Financial LLC to provide planning and asset management services both for corporate and personal clientele. Now with both a business consulting firm and an asset management firm, Shannon is able to provide a full suite of financial solutions for business owners, their employees and other high net worth individuals.
Shannon is passionate about caring for her clients’ whole being and works diligently to bring her clients’ life-long goals to fruition. She is dedicated to helping her clients capitalize on key areas of opportunity that are passing them by, in order to maximize their personal and professional potential over the long haul. Shannon works with business owners, individuals and corporations to evaluate, assess and apply time-tested and trusted strategies aimed to eliminate the anxiety, confusion and ineffectiveness within their respective financial stories. In 2021, Shannon launched her own national Podcast, called Copy Talk, that is dedicated to providing upbeat and applicable financial and lifestyle education that equips its listeners to make better decisions in their everyday lives. She has an MBA in Finance, a dual BA in Psychology and Religious Studies from the University of Tennessee, and a Master’s-level designation in Splankna Therapy. Shannon holds a Series 65 securities license, as well as a life/health insurance license. Shannon is married to her high school sweetheart and has 4 kids. She serves on several non-profit boards of directors that focus on orphan and widow care, teen suicide prevention and global anti-trafficking initiatives.
